Le paradis des amateurs de climat vif et de chemises à gros carreaux est certainement à l'ouest de Calgary, dans la province de l'Alberta. Le plus ancien parc National canadien affiche plus de 6000 km² de lacs et de montagnes, largement de quoi tenir la comparaison avec ses voisins, puisque la région grouille de parcs nationaux. Et donc de photographes talentueux, tel Erik McRitchie, qui parcourt le monde mais revient bien souvent contempler les eaux fraiches de ces enfilades de lacs.
